Advisor – Drilling Engineering

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

This position will report directly to the Associate Vice President,Operations Drilling Manager and is responsible for providing engineering technical leadership and expertise for well planning and performance monitoring:

• Design and engineer wells
• Manage cost estimation and cost control activities
• Develop and maintain engineering systems and processes
• Measure, monitor, and benchmark drilling performance
• Identify and implement technical initiatives to optimize drilling and completion
• Mentor staff drilling engineers

Candidate Requirements include:

• Technical expertise of oil and gas drilling operations
• Project management experience, especially in cost planning and performance measurement
• Demonstrates strong commitment to maximize utilization and revenue, and control expenses.
• Advanced safety, well control, and risk management knowledge
• Outstanding Horizontal Drilling Skills
• Strong contract administration skills
• Outstanding collaborative abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Initiative and independent thinking

Desired Qualifications are:

• Bachelors degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent technical degree
• 20+ years applicable experience
